Polk Audio RM6750 speakers

This is the gift I'm getting for my son in law this year.
He's a real musico and has a grat ear for sound. Unfortunatly like most musicians he is flat broke and can't afford a decent set of speakers. So the Polk Audio RM6750 speakers will be sitting under our tree for him when he comes over on christmas day.

I hope he has a decent stereo to hook them up to as his birthday is not until next October. Thats a long time to wait.

I've heard these are really good hooked up to your telelvision too, so I might have to get him to try them out here before he takes them home.

JBL e80

I just bought the best gift for my son. He's a musician and when he's not playing music he's listening to it.
I bought him a pair of JBL e80 speakers.

thsi website http://JBLe80.com recommended them, and after trying them out at a local store I bought them from Amazon. It only took a couple of days for them to arrive, and now they are safely under the christmas tree.

I can't wait until he opens these. Buying my family the perfect christmas present has always been a priority for me. know I just have to find one for my daughters, grandchildren, and of course my wife!

Not getting lost now!

My wife is the worst person in the world at giving or taking directions. She can get lost just going to pick the kids up from school. Thats why I bought her a Garmin Nuvi 760. I trialled a couple of different models, the Garmin Nuvi 255w was also excellent, but didn't have the same features.

When I tried the Garmin nuvi 200 I knew it wouldn't be right for her, she needed a GPS device that told her where to go, and called out the street names while doing it.

Some of the GPS systems on the market will tell you where to go but not say the street names, just say turn right in 300 yards. This is all well and good if it is obvious which right turn to take, but having the street names makes it so much easier.

She is extrememly happy with the Garmin 760, and when she's happy I'm happy.

For the car

If you are looking for a great christmas gift for a friend who is nuts about driving then you should have a look at a GPS system. The Garmin range is outstanding.

The garmin nuvi 200 is compact and easy to use, but is absolutely packed with features. I bought this for my wife recently (she's not too tech-savvy) and she loves it. She picked up the basics in no tiem and now she uses it almost every day.

For me I got the garmin nuvi 255w. It's a slight improvement on the 200 but is about the same size. The screen is slightly bigger which makes it easier to read the directions etc, but you don't really need to be able to read as it will speak the directions to you if you want.

These two GPS systems are at the low end of the expense list for this type of device, and there are some really good specials on them at the moment.

More Skateboarding News

Well I told my grandson that I would keep him informed of new skateboarding sites, so here it goes, there is a great site about basic skateboard tricks up on squidoo it is quite a nice little guide to skateboard tricks that it appears anyone can follow and learn.

I was at Bondi Beach in Sydney last week and was watching a group of skaters in the bowl there when I noticed a guy that must have been about my age. I stopped him and asked him how old he was (kind of rude but he was ok with it), turns out he was 58! Only a few years younger than me! Maybe I should grab a board and learn some skateboard tricks.

I don't think I would last very long though.

not much of a gift....

A friend of mine sent me an e-card for christmas with a link to Farmville - the new facebook app game. At first I thought it was just a joke, but then I downloaded it and started to play.

It's amazing, you have to build a farm and take care of it. There are lots of different crops to plant, and animals to keep. you can interact with your neighbours (facebook friends), and you earn points and Farmville coins if your farm is working well.

i really think you should have a look if you are not playing it already.

Have a look at my helpful site here http://www.squidoo.com/farmvill

Cafe World Addict

Do you use facebook? I've been a member almost since its inception. I can still remember the first time I used it, compared to Myspace ithought it was a bit clunky, but I soon got used to it and the apps the you can install are just amazing.

I've become totallyaddicted to it now, and I have it running on my computer all the time, luckily i work in a business that allows us to access facebook or I think I might ahve to quit and work from home or something.

The best game app that I am using at the moment is Cafe World, this little sim style game is just brilliant and again I am totally addicted to it. The premise is simple, you own a cafe and you have to make it successful. There are a number of ways you can do this and the building and cooking is where the fun comes in.

I have my buzz points sitting at around 100 all the time, and I'm working on enlargin my cafe to get more tables and chairs. I think I'll be bloggina bout this for quite a while.
